That's not quite what Cohen said. The course includes a 75,000-square-foot clubhouse, a 101-foot man-made waterfall and a host of luxury condominiums overlooking the fairway.

In addition to Special Counsel Robert Mueller and other federal prosecutors, several US congressional committees are pursuing investigations focusing on President Donald Trump, looking at questions regarding Russia's role in the 2016 presidential election as well as the Republican president's finances.

"You have a history of lying over and over and over again", Representative Jim Jordan of OH, the Oversight panel's top Republican, told Cohen.

His claims could cause legal concerns for the Trump Organisation that extend beyond Congress. Gerald E. Connolly of Virginia said on CNN Thursday of bringing in Trump's children for public interviews.

President Donald Trump claimed Friday that his former lawyer Michael Cohen shopped a book to publishers that portrayed Trump in a favorable light, vastly at odds with Cohen's damning testimony to Congress. Trump called it a "simple private transaction", not an illegal campaign contribution. Representatives for Trump did not respond to the allegations at the time. But on Wednesday, Mr Cohen described a third such incident - involving a third portrait of Mr Trump.

Cohen also said Trump directed him to arrange the hush money payment to Daniels. "I have fixed things, but I am no longer your "fixer, Mr Trump". The Trump Foundation's lawyer, Alan Futerfas, declined to comment Thursday.

Schiff has said he will subpoena Mueller's complete final report on his investigation if it is not given to Congress. Schiff also has said he will call Mueller to testify if necessary.

Cohen's testimony unfolded as Trump was in Vietnam meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. It was my experience that Mr. Trump inflated his total assets when it served his purposes, such as trying to be listed among the wealthiest people in Forbes, and deflated his assets to reduce his real estate taxes'. The FBI traced one of them to a payphone outside the 'Late Show With David Letterman, ' where Trump was appearing.

Cohen said there were no deals in the works, but confirmed he had been approached and was open to the idea. "He did apologize to me for his attorney saying that in court, but I can tell you personally he said to me, at a least a dozen times, that he made the decision on the payments and he didn't tell you", Hannity said during Thursday's interview.

Mr Cohen has already pleaded guilty to campaign-finance violations in relation to these hush-money payments.

In addition, a committee aide said the panel also anticipated inviting Trump Organisation chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg to testify.

While the president's dialogue in the discussion didn't include anything too eye-opening that we haven't heard in the past, it was Sean Hannity's words which may have actually sparked an invitation to sit before a House committee to testify in the Trump/Russia probe. He helped develop Trump Soho, a Manhattan hotel condominium, while working for Bayrock Group, and worked with Cohen to develop a Trump luxury tower in Moscow.

"He could have gone all out", Trump said of Cohen. "Yes, but I'm not really sure I can answer that question in terms of collusion", he said, adding, however, that he had his "suspicions". "I think that's an area that should be looked at because I think the foundation has been used by him to avoid paying taxes on money he's earned".
