The new trailer for Venom arrived on Monday night showing Tom Hardy and the symbiote finally becoming one...
The trailer shows Slate's character contacting Brock and revealing what the company is up to, and as you'd expect from a movie called Venom, he ends up accidentally being infected by the symbiote.
Well, maybe the tactic worked, as a new trailer for Sony's Venom has appeared, and now every single person on the internet wants to see what Venom looks like. We see more than one experiment (gone right?) in the trailer, as well as the woman who attacks Eddie and leaves him with a little more than a mere headache.
The film also features Michelle Williams in her first superhero-movie role as Eddie's ex-wife.
Venom is not a Marvel Studios production.
The clip opens with a mysterious police hunt in a darkened forest, before we're given a cryptic peek at Brock as his body is overtaken by the titular alien symbiote. Eddied Brock (Tom Hardy) is a reporter who will do whatever it takes to get the story.
If you think that final shot of Venom looks a bit weird, it's because they aren't using any practical effects to create him. We can't wait for the Venom movie. While it was a rather brief appearance, we have to admit that it does look considerably better than Topher Grace's Venom from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 back in 2007.
In a short sequence, we also witness how Brock and Venom have starkly different plans for each other.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer of "Zombieland" and "Gangster Squad", "Venom" is heading towards a release date of October 5, 2018 in USA theaters with worldwide rollout commencing the same week.
