Check out the back.
The standout feature for the P20 Pro are its three rear cameras.
The "Twilight" color changes from purple to green.
The Huawei P20 has a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the back with phase-detection autofocus and LED flash.
Huawei's on-device AI capabilities introduce in the Mate 10 Pro return in the P20 as do features like fast charging. The display is also an unimpressive one, 6.1inch FullHD+ on the Pro version while 5.8-inch FullHD+ on the regular P20. The Huawei P20 Pro also has IP67 water and dust resistant body. The front of the phone is a weird mix of design decisions. If you are looking for the current best camera in a smartphone, look no further.
The top of the line, P20 Pro, however, comes with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2240p and a 18.5:9 aspect ratio. For navigation, the phone uses on-screen buttons, which erroneously aren't shown in the press renders. It has the same triple-camera setup on the rear as the P20 Pro that includes an 8-megapixel optically stabilized telephoto sensor, a 20-megapixel monochrome one, and lastly, a 40-megapixel RGB camera.
Both the Huawei P20 and the Huawei P10 have dual-lens cameras, but they have some differences. The HUAWEI P20 Pro features a Leica triple camera with the highest total pixel count on a smartphone available in the market - the camera configuration is comprised of a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor and an 8MP sensor with telephoto lens.
Finally, the selfie shooter weighs in at 24MP and includes 3D portrait lighting effects, AI beautification, and advanced processing with object recognition and filter recommendations based on your environment. This can no doubt render every facial imperfection and skin pore in stunning detail. Under the screen the P20 series used a Kirin 970 chip and runs Android 8.1 powered by a 3,400 mAh battery.
The P20 should start selling soon in Europe, priced from €369 (for the P20 Lite) to €899 (for the P20 Pro). Another distinguish feature is the inclusion of an in-screen fingerprint reader as well as a rear fingerprint reader.
They are really serious about this massive "Porsche Design" logo.
With a goal of making professional-quality photography accessible to the masses, the P20 Pro uses a Master AI system that provides AI-driven photo features, including AI stabilization and AI-Assisted Composition (suggestions for framing group and landscape photos).
