Purdue vs. Penn State

The two teams will tip off at 4:30 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on CBS.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and Zavier Simpson also had 15 for the No. 15 Wolverines (27-7), who were also the last team to beat Michigan State (29-4), when they did it on January 13.

On the season, Penn State basketball averages 74.8 points, 35.7 rebounds and 13.8 assists per game. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 13 and Cassius Winston had 11, but the Spartans only crossed into double figures with the MI band revving the Maize and Blue faithful at Madison Square Garden with yet another version of "Hail To The Victors". Liam Folkes tapped in his team's second goal 13 minutes into the game. The emotional freshman had just picked up a technical foul, and he was still a little worked up about it. Edwards saw this, and hilariously calmed down his teammate.

TUCSON, Ariz. - Deandre Ayton had 26 points and 20 rebounds, helping Arizona (24-7, 14-4) clinch the Pac-12 regular-season title outright.

It took an instant replay, a call overturned by a fingernail (literally) and a last-second free throw to win in Ann Arbor. SEMIFINAL ROUND RESULTS 125: Ethan Lizak, Minnesota wins by medical forfeit over Nick Suriano, Rutgers; Nathan Tomasello, Ohio State d Spencer Lee, Iowa 2-1. The Wolverines defeated No. 12-seeded Iowa in overtime, No. 4-seeded Nebraska and No. 1-seeded Michigan State. Thus, no match between him and either Ohio State's Nathan Tomasello or Iowa's Spencer Lee, as Tomasello knocked off Lee 2-1 with a late takedown and will face Minnesota's Ethan Lizak. Carr's pass was ideal, and Reaves dunked for the winning points.

Michigan: Hitting stride late once again.

A huge win and boost of confidence that would have Ohio State believing it could play with anyone in the country.

With ninth-seeded Penn State trailing by a point and the clock ticking off the final 10 seconds, nearly everyone in Madison Square Garden was waiting for Big Ten Conference leading scorer Tony Carr to launch a game-winning shot attempt against second-seeded Ohio State. Purdue had to defeat No. 14-seeded Rutgers in its first game and then No. 7-seeded Penn State in order to make the final.

The Gophers pulled ahead 4-3 on Scott Reedy's goal with under five minutes to play in the second period - it was their first lead of the game.

It took the Nittany Lions just 16 seconds to score; Trevor Hamilton sent a slapshot from the point past Schierhorn. Holtmann was able to take a team expected to finish in the bottom third of the Big Ten all the way to a two-seed in the conference tournament. Their one championship came in 2009.

Frank Booker led SC (16-15, 7-11) with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Best play: In the second half with Purdue looking to build a lead, Carsen Edwards made an explosive move to blow past defenders and get to the basket for a lay-up to give the Boilermakers a 51-42 lead. That put backup point guard Andrew Dakich on Penn State star guard Tony Carr, and fellow Buckeyes guard C.J. Jackson dropped toward the middle to try to cut off a potential drive.

Last weekend was the first time the Nittany Lions had swept the Gophers since Penn State gained Division I status before the 2012-13 campaign.

It was a head-to-head meeting figuratively, as opposed to literally because the two didn't guard one another primarily, but a matchup between two first-team All-Big Ten guards Saturday that fell decidedly in Purdue's favor.

"They run a good system with a lot of counters, a lot of options", Boilermaker senior guard Dakota Mathias said following Saturday's game.

Right out of the gate, Penn State set the tone.

The Purdue men's basketball squad has played a number of thrilling games this season, but none more as scintillating as the two Boilermaker wins over MI. Purdue led by just two against the upstart Nittany Lions at the half.

When Penn State arrived on the draw of the Big Ten Tournament Bracket, Ohio State already seemed to be in a bad spot.

However, Purdue beat MI in both regular-season meetings.
