Rapid Recap: Raiders cruise to dominant victory over Jets

The New York Jets (0-2) and Oakland Raiders (2-0) could not have been more different heading into Sunday's Week 2 matchup. This game should be nothing like that. He batted down one pass, made two tackles behind the line and had four QB pressures despite facing double and triple teams all game.

Bryce Petty will be the Jets' backup quarterback for the foreseeable future, coach Todd Bowles said on Sunday.

I wouldn't expect the Jets to do very well this weekend. The upstanding good citizen in Derek Carr.

And that's essentially what will happen. McCown has to buckle up if his team has to give a good fight to the Raiders. There wasn't much improvement as evidenced by Oakland's 180 yards on the ground, two long touchdowns and 6.7 yards per carry. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.05 p.m. ET and takes place at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland.

Josh McCown completed 17-of-25 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-20 loss to the Raiders in Week 2. I was looking forward to this contest for a couple of reasons; A: It was the first game of the season (which of course means that Raider Football is back baby!). No. 3 TE Will Tye started against the Raiders.

Maybe the citizens will show more when 2019 comes to its close, or if they never achieve what they all believe is this team's three-year destiny.

Furthermore, the linebackers specifically need to step up their game. "We can't have those types of runs if you want to be successful as a defense and be known as a run-stopping defense".

I also think the Jags can get pressure on Mariota who struggled more than most quarterbacks in Week 1 when he had a defender in his face, according to Pro Football Focus.

"[There were] probably like five plays where we pretty much caused ourselves to lose the game", defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson said. Those players are defensive back Keith McGill II (foot), running back Jamize Olawale (quad) and cornerback Sean Smith (neck).

"One Team" is printed in bold, white letters on the left side just above the metal handle — and directly below the team's logo — while "One Goal" adorns the right. Safety Karl Joseph forced a fumble on one sack off a blitz and forced McCown into another earlier in the game that Mario Edwards Jr. and Denico Autry split. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets don't score at all. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they go 0-16.

Still, Gang Green has some players who can make life hard for the Raiders, should the Silver and Black foolishly take this team lightly. If anyone scores for the Jets, it'll be him. The Jets simply don't have the weapons on offense to compete with a dynamic Raiders group if the game becomes a shootout. Stopping the Raiders begins with minimizing their two great receivers, Amari Cooper andMichael Crabtree. Oakland must set the tone on offense and defense.
