OnePlus 5 launched in India starting for Rs. 32999; Sale Starts Today

Can OnePlus still hold its own against established, big-name competitors such as Apple, LG and Samsung? But another, Chris, adds that "this [OnePlus 5 copying iPhone 7 Plus design] is actually disgusting". I legit stopped what I was doing and yelled at my iPhone as the finger print scanner on the OnePlus 5 loaded the phone screen nearly instantaneously after pressing my thumb to the fingerprint scanner.

Let's talk about the biggest new focus of the new OnePlus 5, the camera. Armed with a metal Uni-body design, the OnePlus 5 looks and feels awesome. Design of the phone is heavily "inspired" from the iPhone 7 Plus. It utilizes an aluminum body that makes it feel like a premium smartphone. The rounded edges in the design add beauty and give the flawless look of the premium smartphone. As such, the OnePlus 5 is the slimmest ever flagship phone that has come from the brand till date. The phone is available in two RAM variants- 6GB RAM with 64GB memory and 8GB RAM with 128GB memory.

The original release date of the iPhone 7 Plus was September of previous year - that's 2016.

The OnePlus 5 is half a millimeter thinner than the iPhone 7 Plus and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be available in two different colours variant Midnight Black and Slate Grey.

Coming in with a 3400mAh battery unit, which was 400mAh more than what the OnePlus 3 came with, was a leading factor in many people's decision to buying the OnePlus 3T.

Apple has not disclosed the iPhone 7 Plus RAM, but a teardown by iFixit revealed that the phone packs 3GB RAM. What sets it apart is its RAM which comes in 6GB and 8GB.

The geeks went insane as soon as its first device, OnePlus One, was launched and it took another three years to please the mass-market as well. The Galaxy S8 and HTC U11 offer single 12-megapixel camera with aperture of f/1.7 but support optical image stabilisation. The iPhone dual camera offers OIS, a Quad LED True Tone flash, and 4K video capabilities. The OnePlus 5's setup includes a 20-MP camera and a 16-MP camera. At the front, the OnePlus 5 sports a 16MP front camera f/2.0 aperture, EIS and Auto HDR mode.

The OnePlus smart phone's feature was already leaked before it's launched.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is fabricated on the 10nm process and comes with eight custom Kyro cores providing the processing power and a clock speed of up to 2.45GHz. They might not be keen on shelling out the money for a Galaxy S8 or an LG G6 but they are looking for a near flagship experience. With the dual camera, OnePlus 5 is now capable of fast autofocus (AF). Benchmark tests have shown that the Snapdragon 835 and A10 chips go neck to neck in performance.
